It simply wouldn’t be Season 28 (which was just recently Season 27) of South Park without some release date shenanigans.
If you’re like me, you’ve been checking Paramount+ all day for new South Park, only to be confused. Didn’t the schedule that was shared detail that the episode would be released on the 29th? Well, it may have been in my best interest to check the show’s Instagram as a reel was uploaded announcing the move of the episode to premiere on Halloween.
Titled “The Woman In The Hat,” the official plot description for the episode is as follows: “The White House deals with a disruptive spirit from the east wing; Stan worries that South Park has become too political.”
The preview shows that there will indeed be some kind of Halloween haunts, with a teased seance with members of the White House staff returning, such as Kristi Noem. Donald Trump is also seen streaking, running away in fear (who could this disruptive spirit truly be to scare him like this?), into bed with Satan. We find out that Stan will be moving in with his grandfather, as Randy tells him they “can’t afford to live in the house.” There’s also a terrifically framed sequence in which Donald Trump uses Towelie on his body while a portrait of Ronald Reagan looks on.
This Halloween special episode will air on Friday, October 31, starting at 10 p.m., and then be available the next day, on November 1, for Paramount+ subscribers. Essential is $7.99 a month with limited ads, while Premium is sitting at $12.99 a month with “fewer ads.”
