Roman Teen in France: The Bocce Junior World Championships

ROME, N.Y. — A local teenager is representing the United States in the Junior World Championships in bocce, currently taking place in France.

The U.S. Bocce Federation shared pictures of Nico Fox, a student from Rome Free Academy, on social media.

Fox is competing in both his own matches and in the co-ed doubles with Ava Della Croce, a teenager from Missouri.

Fox said on the Bocce Bros podcast, “The courts are slow,” adding that they are similar to the inside Toccolana Club courts, which he feels works to his advantage.

There has been much uncertainty in the City of Rome these past few days after a tornado ripped through the area. However, one thing that will remain is the World Series of Bocce.
