  1. OpenAI keeps scaring away all of its more ethical employees with predictable effects.

More and more, the only people left are people who don’t care or think concerns about negative effects are “overblown”.

It gets progressively filled with people who just care about having an interesting, cushy job instead of people who care about the greater implications of how this could go horribly wrong.

  2. No shit. The next article in the Times at this rate will be “emerging technologies exploit people for profit”.

  3. it’s stated goal is to destroy us.. even the guys heading the companies want to eliminate what makes us ‘worth’ something to the rest.

we just become ‘wastrel and unproductive’ and that’s their goal.

  4. Worked at OpenAI and now left wanting wanting to cover their arse.

When the law comes after OpenAI and executives start going to jail over this, they will be part of it. You cannot fuck over people globally and expect to get away clean by jumping off the sinking submarine.

  5. You know how we disclose that they’re paid actors in commercials? All AI content should be disclosed as AI before you consume it. This should be law

Caring and adding protecting and limitations won’t be good for business … and really I think there are a lot of people who don’t want protection and would jump ship to another service if things get too prohibitive.

Is anyone surprised? Because i’m not.

No corporation is ever doing enough to protect people. This is just another ragebait and nothing new under sun.
