Poland Denies Ukrainian Soldiers Have Medical Care Advantages

As reported by the X network, the Polish Ministry of Defense has debunked a fake about medical care for Ukrainian servicemen.

The Polish Ministry of National Defence has debunked the widespread narrative that Ukrainian troops allegedly have an advantage over Poles in accessing medical care.

Official statements indicate that such reports are manipulation designed to inflame tensions in society.

Poland has no regulatory provisions that would guarantee Ukrainian troops an advantage in hospital care relative to Polish patients. This manipulation attempt aligns with the Russian narrative, whose aim is to inflame negative emotions and polarize Polish, as well as Western, society

Context and response from official authorities

Earlier in the Polish information space, a video appeared near a hospital in Stalowa Wola, in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship. The video author claimed that Ukrainian soldiers were receiving treatment at the hospital, while he himself had long been unable to get an appointment.

The Starosta of Stalowa Wola, Janusz Zajączny, stated that the narrative being circulated is false and only fuels anti-Ukrainian sentiment in Poland. According to him, on a specified day Ukrainian soldiers who train nearby at a military training ground did indeed come to the hospital for tests. However, they did not have an advantage over ordinary Polish patients and used services on a commercial basis. The hospital similarly serves soldiers from Slovakia, Norway, or France who come to the region for training.

As revealed by law enforcement materials, police detained in Gdynia in the north of the country an anti-Ukrainian activist with pro-Russian views, a patostreamer Piotr N. known by the alias “Nazar.”
