Slovenia’s government presented plans to grant more powers to police and prosecutors after a fatal attack triggered nationwide outcry over public safety and inter-ethnic relations.
The proposed legislation, which still needs parliamentary approval, is aimed at “fighting crime” and “increasing security in society,” Prime Minister Robert Golob told reporters in Ljubljana on Thursday.
