Air Serbia handled 42.697 passengers on its Belgrade – Madrid service during the first three quarters of the year, representing an increase of 16.5% on the same period in 2024. The average cabin load factor on the route across the nine-month period stood at 82.3%. As of October 28, Wizz Air has launched a three-weekly service between the two capitals, marking the first time Air Serbia has faced direct competition on the Madrid route since it introduced flights to the Spanish capital in 2019.
