A violent incident occurred on Saturday night in front of the Rinora4 club in Rümlang, near Zurich, where a 34-year-old security worker of Kosovo origin was stabbed and taken to hospital with injuries.

According to police, the suspected attacker is a 26-year-old Kosovar, who was arrested in the canton of Aargau.

Footage released by “20 Minuten” shows the incident preceded by a scuffle between club security and some customers. The video shows at least five security guards punching a group of partygoers, while two of them fall to the ground – one of them hits his head on the pavement and is knocked unconscious.

Witnesses said it all started when a customer was kicked out of the club after drinking too much alcohol. When his friends came to his aid, security – they said – used tear gas and physical force.

“Security immediately attacked us with spray paint and punches. One of our friends ended up with seven stitches in his head,” one witness told Swiss media. He added that some people in their group will file a personal injury lawsuit.

The club’s director, Shaban Konxheli, said he was not at the scene at the time of the incident and that security is contracted by an external firm, SN Security GmbH, which has not commented on the case.

Swiss police have launched investigations to clarify the full circumstances of the incident and the responsibilities of the parties involved.
