Slovenia midfielder Sandi Lovric has spoken about the Slovenian team’s preparations ahead of Saturday’s important match against Kosovo at the “Stozice” stadium, emphasizing that the team is calm, prepared and supported by the local public.

Kosovo goes into this match second in the group with 7 points, while Slovenia is third with 3 points.

“We have two very important matches ahead of us and we are preparing well. We are confident and we need to show our quality on the field,” Lovric told the official website of the Slovenian federation.

The midfielder also recalled the goalless draw in Pristina, where he stated that Slovenia failed to create chances, but this time he believes that the home team will make the difference.

“In Prishtina we showed that we can play against them, but unfortunately we didn’t score. This time we will have the support of our fans, who always give us extra energy to win. That’s how it has been in recent years – from the stands we have received strength for success,” added the Udinese player.

Lovrić stressed that entering the match strong and confident will be crucial to achieving the goal.

“We have to come in with courage and determination from the first minute. We know what we want – a victory to keep the momentum going towards our objective,” the Slovenian midfielder concluded.
