‘We wanted to be a blessing’: Child care donates 50 turkeys to Turkey Drive
They drove to the WJCL Turkey Drive with a truck bed full of turkeys, bringing the count at the time to over 1,100.
Another Blessyn Childcare added to the WJCL Turkey Drive tally on Thursday with a truck bed full of Thanksgiving turkeys. The child care center donated 50 turkeys, bringing the total turkey tally from 1,085 to 1,135.Their owner, Constance Jenkins, told WJCL that the center made it all possible by gathering donations from her community.”With the economy and things going on right now, there’s so many people in need,” Jenkins said.
