The gross domestic product in Romania expanded by 1.6% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2025, accelerating from 0.3% growth in the previous three-month period and exceeding market expectations of 1% growth, preliminary estimates showed.
This marked the eighteenth consecutive period of economic expansion.
On a seasonally adjusted quarterly basis, the country’s economy contracted by 0.2%, reversing a downwardly revised 1% growth in the previous three-month period.
