  1. From the article

Nearly 9 out of 10 senior HR leaders expect AI to reshape jobs in 2026, according to a new survey of CNBC Workforce Executive Council members.

“We expect to see more skill-based, AI-enabled hiring rather than the traditional degree-based hiring,” one WEC member said

    >But workforce reductions in 2026 will be due to a “general need to cut costs,” not efficiency gains from AI, the CNBC WEC survey found.

    Here’s my prediction:

    * We are approaching a contraction economically.
    * Jobs will be shed as a result.
    * Eventually, an expansion will happen.
    * At this point, employers will start seriously weighing the Cost-Benefit of filling previously held positions with AI-led positions.

  3. As researchers, we surveyed both the general public as well as academic AI experts on AIs impact on various topics, including job displacement, in the next decade.

Obviously, the absolute evaluations difference in terms of expectancy, perceived risks and benefits, as well as value assessments. More importantly, both groups had significantly different risks/benefit tradeoffs for forming their value judgments.

  4. What a wild title to have only asked 21 senior HR personnel lol. I was thinking they surveyed hundreds, but nah.

Either way, companies are trying to figure out how to use AI for efficiency gains, so there’s going to be looking for people with AI experience.
