How fascinating. In a way, recursion is a pressing topic for LLMs because of the fact that they will increasingly be training on their own output. Given the expanding of LLM output into all major human fora, this also means that humans themselves will be increasingly “trained on” (influenced by) LLM output, which will result in a gigantic universal recursive inward spiral.
Oh great, the Internet takes salvia. What could go wrong?

Basically people schizo-posting about LLM’s becoming conscious when in fact they are just glitching out or responding to cryptic prompting.
One could extrapolate this accusation, toward the governments. Point out that they have bet their farm, on a chance to create a god of war, that will save them.
They seem to believe, as does the science they fund, that everything that is near failure, will be saved and disaster averted, this decade. All is dependent, on the promised super intelligence.
If one were so inclined. But that would be sowing doubts.
