BERESTOVITSA DISTRICT, 17 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian side is ready to operate at border checkpoints with Poland, with advance registration in the electronic queue continuing, BelTA has learned.

The vehicle registration in the electronic queue is ongoing at the waiting area of the Berestovitsa checkpoint (Bobrowniki on the Polish side). According to Beltamozhservice, as of midnight, a total of 83 vehicles have been registered. The daily capacity of the checkpoint in one direction is 900 passenger cars and 500 trucks.

A total of 54 vehicles have been registered in the queue at Bruzgi (Kuznica Bialostocka) checkpoint. The daily capacity of this checkpoint in one direction is 1,600 passenger cars and 580 heavy trucks.

As the State Border Committee of Belarus previously stated, the Belarusian side has not closed the checkpoints and is fully prepared for operations. All necessary preparatory measures have been completed. The committee noted that customs infrastructure at the border checkpoints with Poland has been upgraded and expanded, with technical equipment functioning normally.

According to an official notification from the Polish side, the closed checkpoints Kuznica Bialostocka and Bobrowniki will begin operating at 2:00 am on 17 November.
