
Cyprus Foreign Minister met Monday with US Senator and acting Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the State Department to discuss strengthening bilateral ties and the strategic partnership.
The talks focused on cooperation in investment, energy, security and defense, the upcoming Cyprus Presidency of the EU Council, and transatlantic relations.
Officials also addressed the Cyprus issue, regional Middle East developments and Cyprus’s role in Gaza peace and reconstruction efforts.
They discussed next steps in the 3+1 cooperation framework, aimed at advancing regional stability and prosperity, according to the Cypriot Foreign Ministry.
