The Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) have confirmed that three divers who went missing in Gozo on Friday afternoon have been rescued and brought to safety.

In a Facebook post Friday, the AFM said that the Malta Rescue Coordination Centre (RCC) had been notified that three divers went missing in Gozo.

An AFM rescue vessel was immediately dispatched to the area in order to search for the missing individuals.

It said that through a coordinated effort by the AFM and the Civil Protection Department, the divers were rescued, brought to shore, and brought to Gozo General Hospital medical personnel.
