The competent authorities of Belarus and Poland are conducting joint activities to establish the whereabouts of two Ukrainian citizens suspected of committing terrorist crimes in Poland, sb.by reports with reference to the press service of Belarus’ Foreign Ministry
Currently, the fact of the suspects’ entry into the territory of Belarus has been confirmed, and active search activities are already underway. Together with the Polish side, the contacts of the wanted persons are being worked out and a set of operational measures is being implemented.
“If the location of these persons is established on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, they will be detained,” the diplomatic department noted. “Subsequently, in accordance with the established procedure and taking into account all relevant circumstances, the issue of their transfer to the Polish side will be considered.”
The Foreign Ministry stressed that this work is being carried out in the spirit of partnership and good-neighbourliness, despite the fact that a properly executed request for legal assistance on this issue has not been received from Poland yet.
