Air Serbia has been recognized at the Campaigns With a Purpose 2025 awards, taking home the top honor in the Social category for its project “My First Flight With Air Serbia – A Trip to Remember.”

The initiative, created in partnership with the SOS Children’s Villages Serbia Foundation, set out to give vulnerable children the life-changing experience of boarding a plane for the very first time.

“This event aimed to inspire children to dream big, strengthen family bonds, and draw public attention to the importance of supporting vulnerable groups,” said Bojana Knežević, Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs at Air Serbia.

“Every child deserves the joy of discovering the world. The public response to this initiative only amplified our message of hope and support. We will continue developing projects that build a more caring and inclusive community,” she added.

The event brought 25 children from SOS Children’s Villages’ “Strengthening Families” program on a special Air Serbia flight from Niš to Belgrade.

The journey was designed as a full, immersive introduction to air travel. Children checked in, passed through security, met pilots and cabin crew, and learned how the airline operates behind the scenes.

After landing in Belgrade, they toured the hangar, explored aircraft ranging from the smallest to the largest in Air Serbia’s fleet, and saw the operational heartbeat of Serbia’s national carrier up close.

The award ceremony, held on November 20 in Belgrade, highlighted campaigns and companies shaping social change across the region. For Air Serbia, the win reinforces a broader strategy: using its national platform to support families, inspire young people, and invest in community-building initiatives with tangible impact.
