In the women’s large hill, Nozomi Maruyama claimed her first-ever individual victory with 285.5 points.

On Friday, she had won the mixed team large hill with her Japanese team-mates.

“I didn’t expect to achieve my first victory here today and to be honest, I’ve surprised myself with the jumps I’m managing to make, as I haven’t changed my technique since last season,” she said. “Now I just have to make sure I can keep this level.”

Canada’s Abigail Strate was 25.8 points behind in second and Lisa Eder of Austria was third.

Defending champions Nika Prevc of Slovenia was only 15th.
