Officials said the international checkpoint has been temporarily closed, and travelers were urged to use nearby crossings.
Odesa regional governor Oleh Kiper said Russia carried out another heavy strike on southern Odesa Region during the night. Despite air-defense efforts, several civilian sites were damaged.
Kiper said facades, roofs and windows of administrative buildings were hit. Eleven trucks were damaged in a parking area, and two people were injured. They are receiving medical help.
The Orlivka–Isaccea crossing is a major checkpoint between Ukraine and Romania. The ferry line serves freight, passenger and private vehicles, and also allows pedestrian traffic.
Russia has attacked the crossing several times since the full-scale invasion began. Operations were halted there in October 2024 after another strike, and the ferry terminal was also temporarily closed in October 2023 after attacks on nearby port and border infrastructure.
