The Lithuanian public broadcaster LRT has unveiled the list of the 40 artists who will compete for the country’s ticket to Eurovision 2026 through the national selection Eurovizija.LT. One of Lithuania’s largest preselection formats returns with a refreshed structure and a wide stylistic variety, bringing together established performers and many new faces.

Diversity, new rules and strong contenders

According to LRT, this year’s submissions were numerous and highly competitive. The broadcaster’s evaluation team selected 40 entries that stood out for their artistic identity and potential to shine on the Eurovision stage. As stated by LRT’s chief producer, Audrius Giržadas, the aim was to present a lineup that combines well-known names with fresh voices capable of surprising the European audience.

The semi-final episodes — five to six in total — will begin filming on January 14, while all songs will gradually be showcased in the coming weeks on LRT.

A grand arena final and major voting changes

The grand final of Eurovizija.LT 2026 will take place on February 27 at the Twinsbet Arena in Vilnius, marking the first time that Lithuania’s national selection is hosted in such a large venue.

This year, the voting system undergoes several significant changes:

    • The superfinal is abolished, with the winner now determined in a single voting round combining jury and public votes.
    • A wildcard round is introduced: all acts placing third in their semi-final will compete for an additional spot in the final through an online public vote.
    • All live shows will use online voting exclusively, as telephone voting has been completely removed.

Among this year’s contestants are both popular performers and notable returnees such as Lolita Zero, SHWR, and Lion Ceccah, who previously left strong impressions in past national selections.
