One of the best times of the year for sports fans around the nation is upon us.

Thanksgiving brings heightened enjoyment for many as they gather around the TV to watch their favorite teams battle on the gridiron and hardwood.

Here’s a guide to all the NFL, NBA, college and highschool sports a fan could ask for.

What to watch Thursday

There is a triple-header lined up for pro football fans.

Green Bay at Detroit, 1 p.m., FOX: The Packers are traveling to Detroit for the Lions’ yearly Thanksgiving game. The game will be crucial in determining how the NFC North shakes out, with the Packers entering the game at 7-3-1 and the Lions positioned at 7-4 on the season so far.

Kansas City at Dallas, 4:30 p.m., CBS/Paramount: The Chiefs and Cowboys have both underperformed expectations thus far, despite impressive performances throughout the season from Patrick Mahomes and Dak Prescott. It is not safe to say either team is out of playoff contention just yet, so fan can expect a highly contested game.

Cincinnati at Baltimore, 8:20 p.m., NBC/Peacock: Another divisional rivalry between the Bengals and the Ravens will cap off Thanksgiving. It is still up in the air whether Burrow could start, but the Bengals will look to sabotage the Ravens’ push to win the division.

What to watch Friday

A slew of basketball and football games are being offered on Black Friday.

NFL: Chicago at Philadelphia, 3 p.m. Prime Video: The Bears look to continue their push to be considered a serious contender in a prove-it game against the Eagles. The Bears have come out of multiple close games this season as the victors. The Eagles, also 8-3, come into the game after losing to the Cowboys in Dallas.

College Basketball: UConn at Illinois 12:30 p.m. FOX: Two top 15 teams in the NCAA rankings will battle on the hardwood. The Huskies and Illinois have both started the season out with 8-1 Records. UConn’s only loss came against Arizona on their home court, while Illinois’ only loss was a close one to Alabama.

College Football: Georgia at Georgia Tech, 3:30 p.m. ABC: In-state Rivals will face off to see who commands Georgia’s gridiron. The Bulldogs have been red hot winning their last five, with only one relatively close game against Florida. The Yellow Jackets lost two of their last five heading into the matchup.

NBA: Milwaukee at New York, 7:30 p.m. Prime Video: Madison Square Garden will buzz on Black Friday as the Bucks come to town. Giannis Antetokounmpo has a chance to play that game after going down with an injury that has sidelined him for multiple games. Both the Knicks and Bucks have been inconsistent so far, but look to get right in this matchup.

Dallas at Los Angeles, 10 p.m. Prime Video: Current scoring leader and former Maverick Luka Doncic welcomes Dallas and high-profile rookie Cooper Flagg to Los Angeles. The Mavericks are missing several key pieces, including Anthony Davis and Derick Lively. Davis is a game-time decision. The Lakers have won four of their last five.

Ohio high school football playoffs: Residents can view a full slate of high school football as the playoffs continue on Spectrum News’ website, app and cable channels.

What to watch Saturday

There will be several college football matchups, but here are two matchups that should be highly contested:

Ohio State at Michigan, 12 p.m. FOX: A rivalry that seems old as time heats up again as the undefeated Ohio State Buckeyes take 18th-ranked Michigan. Both teams have remained hot, both winning their last five games.

Vanderbilt at Tennessee, 3:30 p.m. ESPN: Another major rivalry game is set for Saturday as the Vols welcome the Commodores to Neyland Stadium. Both ranked teams will fight on the gridiron for Tennessee bragging rights.

What to watch Sunday

NFL: It’s Sunday, that says it all.

11 games will be on all throughout Sunday as usual, starting at 1 p.m. and ending in the late evening.
