The leader of AAK, Ramush Haradinaj, has distributed a message addressed to the Kosovar diaspora, on the eve of the start of the application period for voter registration outside Kosovo for the early elections.
From November 26 to December 6, 2025, expatriates have the opportunity to register to exercise their right to vote.
In his post, Haradinaj highlights the historical role of the diaspora.
“The homeland carries you with it, wherever you go. I have always felt the weight of your longing and the strength of your love for Kosovo,” Haradinaj wrote.
It recalls the sacrifices of generations of exiles, from the early days of exile to their engagement in the fight for freedom.
“Your exile is not simply a story of departure. It is a story of sacrifice, for life, for freedom… The journey was of those who fought and committed, of the martyrs and heroes whom Kosovo and Albanianness always honored,” he wrote further.
Haradinaj emphasizes that every generation of the diaspora has kept alive the connection with their homeland.
“Your journey begins with your grandfather, passes to your father, to your son, and today to your grandson who is growing up to love Kosovo as his family”
Thanking the diaspora for their continued contribution, he underlines that the country needs their voice in the electoral process.
“You love Kosovo more than words can express. Therefore, we always need your voice, your faith and your commitment. Kosovo needs you, just as you have kept Kosovo alive in your hearts,” Haradinaj wrote. /Telegrafi/
