DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — HBO’s newest Delaware County-based crime drama “Task,” starring Mark Ruffalo, was a huge hit.

And now, with a second season in the works, the Pennsylvania Film Commission has awarded a sizable tax credit for season two’s production.

Pennsylvania Film Commissioner Gino Anthony Pesi said the Pennsylvania Film Office has awarded $49.8 million through the Film Production Tax Credit Program to produce Season 2 of the hit series.

HBO estimates the second season will inject $194.1 million into the economy in direct expenditures, creating and supporting more than 3,700 Pennsylvania jobs.

“I am thrilled to be filming another season of TASK in my home state of Pennsylvania,” Ingelsby said. “I’m deeply grateful that I get to tell stories about characters from this very specific part of the country while working alongside the wonderful people who also call Pennsylvania home.”
