Serbia is getting ready for Eurovision 2026, and as part of a general reorganization in RTS, the head of delegation, Uroš Marković, was appointed as the supervisor of Pesma za Evroviziju, the country’s national final, taking over Olivera Kovačević’s place.

According to ESC Serbia, the Serbian head of delegation, will take over the supervision of the country’s national final for the first time, having worked as the music director of Pesma za Evroviziju since 2023, when he started working as the head of delegation.

This change comes after the expulsion of Olivera Kovačević, the editor of special programs, in August. Pesma za Evroviziju 2026 will be the first national final since 2018, that she’s not supervising.

The submission window for Pesma za Evroviziju closed on November 10, and right now a special jury panel is listening and accessing the entries.

The previous winner of Pesma za Evroviziju and Serbia’s representative in Eurovision 2025, was Princ with the song “Mila”, ending up in 14th place of the second semi-final, marking the country’s third non-qualification in its history in the contest.
