Image shows line constructed in red, whilst the dotted red lines are proposed routes. It would have connected various parts of the island and would have been an immense engineering fear given the island’s topography, especially to the west. Had these extensions been constructed, it would effectively change the entire social fabric and urban planning elements of Maltese history. One can only imagine what that would look like.
