The marketing agency ALERT has won the gold award at this year’s Best Event Awards World in Rome in the Educational/Training Event category for the project IV MUZZA Science Week, realized in cooperation with the MUZZA association. With this triumph, ALERT has become the first Croatian agency ever to receive the most prestigious global award in the event industry.
Since 2006, the Best Event Awards (BEA) has represented the global gold standard of excellence in event organization. Several hundred projects from more than 40 countries compete at the BEA World festival, and the work is evaluated by an international jury of 50 of the most influential experts according to the strictest criteria: originality and creativity of the concept, innovation in execution, strategic communication, measurable results, and the overall impression and emotion the event leaves on the audience.
“When I founded the MUZZA association, I dreamed that one day science and education in Croatia would not be just an obligation, but the most exciting experience that children and young people can have. Today I realise that this dream has become reality – and at the highest world level,” said Đurđica Protić, president of the MUZZA association.

The ALERT agency has been MUZZA association’s communication partner from the very beginning, with a clear vision of bringing STEM experiences closer to new generations and showing what education can look like in Croatia. The fifth MUZZA Science Week is being prepared, and year after year it gathers children, families, teachers, and the wider community. The ultimate goal is for MUZZA Science Week to one day grow into the first Science Center in Zagreb, a permanent place of learning, research, and inspiration.
ALERT and the MUZZA association successfully realized a concept that combined science, technology, art, and entertainment into a unique interdisciplinary experience that the BEA World jury declared the best educational event in the world in 2025. With this gold, the ALERT agency has confirmed its status as one of the leading creative forces in this part of Europe and announced further success on the world’s biggest stages.
