A video has surfaced on social media showing a group of young men beating a man in Serbia.
The same video was also posted on X and Instagram by Nemanja Šarović, president of the “Love, Faith, Hope” Movement, along with details about the dramatic event that took place in Subotica, reports nova.rs.
He stressed that “the boys beat the man with sticks” and that the young man who was attacked has injuries to his head, hand and broken ribs. He added that it is still unknown what condition the person is in, while blaming supporters of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
“Prozivka neighborhood – 7 thugs in broad daylight brutally attacked a 47-year-old man because he publicly expressed his negative opinion about the authorities and the thugs who terrorize the city. Dražen Lončar was transported by ambulance to the hospital with serious bodily injuries and is in critical condition,” Šarović wrote.
In the post, he showed that the video shows a man in a red sweater lying on the ground, while “guys with hoods and metal sticks beat him from behind.”
He stressed that the person who was attacked is a war veteran, who at the age of 19, during his military service, was sent to war in Kosovo and after he returned, “everyone gave up on him.”
“He was at the March protests together with other war veterans, and then he spoke publicly about those events and about the beaters from Subotica that he had met. That was the reason they waited for him to do this to him. This is the second attack in two months, but now he is in the Subotica Hospital with serious bodily injuries,” concluded Šarović. /Telegraph/
