PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is set to return against the Buffalo Bills, head coach Mike Tomlin said

Tomlin said that Rodgers was a full participant on Friday for the second straight day, and that will give Pittsburgh their starting quarterback in a critical game.

“He was a full participant once again. He will have no game designation. All systems go,” Tomlin said of Rodgers.

Tomlin added that he saw Rodgers take more reps this week, which led to a higher level of comfort for the team after he missed last week’s game against the Chicago Bears.

In addition, the four-time MVP took snaps from under center according to Tomlin, giving the Steelers a potential full playbook against the Bills.

Rodgers was seen sporting the brace, which is something he has been fitted for last week. He also attempted shotgun snaps to try and see where he was at with his comfortability.

The key indications for him to have played would be all about safety and functionality. Rodgers wants to be able to protect himself, but he also needs to be sure that he can function in the basics of the quarterback position.

Now, it seems all of those boxes are checked, and Rodgers will return in a crucial game for the Steelers in the AFC playoff race.
