Its a nice move. As both communities are equal citizens of the republic of cyprus, the former treatment was ethnically dividing
The real question here is “why do we back down from Apartheid every time the EU deems necessary?”
Seperate counters droped in checkpoints but still a Turkish Cypriot can not renew their ID or Passport in ordinary Citizen Centers. Instead they are forced to go to Larnaca or Nicosia.
