Independent observers and MPs from several opposition parties reported being exposed to threats and physical attacks during election day in Mionica, Serbia.

And such reporting comes after the Green Left Front (ZLF) announced that a member of parliament from the opposition party was attacked on Sunday afternoon in Mionica.

They say they reported the incident to the police, who did not react.

This party says that independent election observers and opposition MPs were followed by masked figures who threatened them throughout election day in Mionica.

Meanwhile, a massive brawl reportedly broke out in Mionica, not far from a polling station, involving citizens and, according to reports, members of Aleksandar Vučić’s party.

The violent fight took place in a cafe and the entire incident was recorded on video that spread on social media.

Footage shows people from inside the cafe throwing glass bottles, boards and chairs towards a group of citizens on the street.

A response from the other side quickly followed, and in the general chaos, almost all the windows in the storefronts and the front doors of the establishment were broken.

Previously, the CRTA observation mission announced that it was suspending monitoring of the local elections in Mionica because the “safety” of their observers was “seriously threatened.”

As the media recall, in Negotin and Mionica in Serbia, citizens are voting in regular elections on November 30, while in Sečanj, early elections are being held following the resignation of the mayor, Nebojša Meljevac, from the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS).

In all three municipalities, the current government consists of a coalition led by the SNS, which also holds power at the republican level. /Telegraph/
