North Macedonia’s HC Vardar 1961) won an overwhelming victory in Croatia’s away game, confirming his entry into the main round of the European League early on.

Vardar defeated MRK Sesvette Triglav Osiguranje 38-24 in the fifth round of the 2025/26 EHF Men’s European League Group F match in Zagreb High School Djelkovec, Croatia, on November 25 (local time).

With this, Vardar won 4-1 (8 points) and confirmed his place in the main round regardless of the remaining games. Sesbete finished third with two wins, one draw and two losses (five points).

Vardar pushed Sesbete from the start. In the 14th minute of the first half, he took a 10-4 lead and completely gained momentum. Goalkeeper Milosz Walach then blocked the opponent’s shot and succeeded in a long-range goal, bringing the flow completely.

Sesbete was shaken to the point of asking for a second time early, and Vardar was already well ahead in the first half (23-12) to effectively seal the match.

The trend remained unchanged in the second half. Vardar’s Milosz Walach completely defended the goal with a total of 11 saves and a 45% ERA.

Vardar’s score was evenly distributed. Uros Mitrovic scored seven goals, Viktor Jankowski scored six, Jaka Malus five, and Nicolas Bono four, showing off his firepower with a total of eight players scoring multiple goals.

On the other hand, Sesbete struggled with only 39% of the team’s overall shooting success rate, although Ivan Dumencic scored five goals and Patrick HrÅ¡ak scored four.
