The Vice President of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lutfi Haziri, has declared that his party is entering the December 28 extraordinary elections with full unity and with the conviction that citizens will restore trust in the LDK.

He announced that the party’s chairman, Dr. Lumir Abdixhiku, has been nominated as a candidate for prime minister.

“With complete unity, we have the honor of nominating our president, Dr. Lumir Abdixhiku, for Prime Minister, which will be translated into civic unity in the extraordinary elections of December 28,” said Haziri.

He criticized the current political situation in the country, saying that the lack of inter-institutional cooperation and political will has led Kosovo into a complete blockade.

“It’s simple. There was a lack of cooperation and will, and the country was stuck in a planned and managed political crisis. Kosovo today is neither more independent, nor freer, nor more democratic. It is without an Assembly, without a Government, and soon without a state budget,” he said.

According to Haziri, the December 28 elections are an opportunity to end, as he called it, “political darkness” and return to the country’s traditional values.

“It is an opportunity that on December 28th we will not walk further through political darkness, but return to family, homeland and God,” he said, adding that LDK represents hope for a better future.

Haziri emphasized that the party has continuously contributed to the state-building processes. The former mayor of Gjilan said that the country needs the return of the LDK to government.

“Kosovo needs love. Kosovo needs LDK like never before,” Haziri wrote. /Telegrafi/
