Those are clearly horses and I can’t make out their gender from this angle with the tails in the way.

They don’t clean up after the horses unfortunately. They had them over at Newcastle on the weekend for the rising tide protest and there were piles of manure left all over the foreshore. Someone confronted them over it and their argument was it’ll just wash away so it’s fine to just leave it there.

Loved living in Redfern when they would block traffic and leave shit everywhere just so they could go for a little ride around the area.

If you live in the area you will quite often see them going from their stables on the Surry / Redfern border through Redfern, shitting as they go.,

Hate seeing this, absolutely no need in the modern day for them to be using horses.

So what happens to the horse poop? A horse is bound to relieve itself sometime.Â
Also I imagine horse mounted police arresting someone and then dragging them to the station tied to a rope, like a western movie lol
Government approved 1 horse power riding vehicles.

They were doing a big walk today – lap down Wilson street and towards Erskineville. While I think horses are overly intimidating I’m glad they aren’t used frequently for police activity and appear to be treated very well

Do you have to sit behind and drive slowly? Or can you overtake them? Genuine question… Cause I don’t know the traffic rules on this matter.

Fun fact, the NSW Mounted Police are based on Baptist Street [in Redfern](https://maps.app.goo.gl/8mJ4fW1gtQhDLnci6?g_st=ic)

[They’re so big that the cops riding them need to find a chair or something to get on them without looking like they’re struggling](https://www.reddit.com/r/AustraliaLeftPolitics/comments/1onzfjk/tfw_youre_a_little_short_for_a_stormtrooper_and/) ðŸ˜
