This mean's that the original ruling will stand.

He has been ordered to pay costs.

Hopefully now Lehrmann will be able to have time in his diary to attend his Hobart trial he seemingly couldn’t attend a few weeks ago.

Also hopefully the courts can now go back to dealing with actual matters instead of this guys kink for court cases, but I suspect he will go back a few more times for his hat.

  2. Ha ha.

And may I say once again:

    Ha ha.

This guy is such a loser. And on the balance of probabilities, also a rapist.

Bruce Lehrmann? The civilly determined rapist? That Bruce Lehrmann? The one facing charges for rape in Toowoomba and Tasmania for theft? He went back to court again?

Where does Kerry Stokes keep finding these people?

  4. I look forward to a month where we don’t have to hear about this dickhead. Just one month would be nice.

lol bye Felicia! Also how is this saga from 2021 still going on? I’m sure there will be a documentary in the future as to how many people’s lives it’s destroyed:

-Bruce Lehrmann (likely bankrupt, reputation forever ruined, possible criminal conviction coming)

    -Brittany Higgins (bankrupt)

    -David Sharaz (bankrupt)

-Linda Reynolds (reputation destroyed and career ended early)

-Fiona Brown (reputation destroyed and career ended early)

-Lisa Wilkinson (TV career ended early)

RIP! This guy will be bankrupt for the rest of his life I think, there’s these court costs, all the lawyers he’s engaged for all the court cases he’s somehow been in…

Why is he taking up so much of our legal system resources? At the rate he goes to court he should be asked to pay the salaries of all court staff pro rata for each day he attends/meant to attend/or just his name mentioned within the respective court’s perimeter

AAP is reporting that Lehrmann “is expected to apply for special leave to appeal the full court decision in the high court”.

So looks like he will definitely be going back for another hat.

  9. How many times is he going to try this? It’s like a gambler on a losing streak trying to win back their losses with just one more go…

He will keep going. He is like his former employer, addicted to court cases. They don’t know when to quit and just fade away.

When is he actually going to start suffering? I want suffering. Lots of suffering. For him I mean.

So again he’s been laughed out of a court room, which state is he popping up in next to get embarrassed by legislature again?

I don’t usually like to find joy in the misery of others, but I’m happy to make an exception for this shitstain and any other rapists that experience the consequences of their actions.

    >justice wigney said the full court found that the primary judge should have concluded mr Lehmann knew Ms Higgins did not consent…

Interesting that the federal court is saying not only was there no error on the original findings that favoured Higgins but what error there was, had favoured Lehrmann.

As someone who listened to the submissions his so called lawyer made, I am surprised this took as long as it did to be determined. You could almost see the judges looking at one another at the end of the oral submissions his lawyer made and thinking “shall we just say, yeah, nah now and get this over with, or do we have to actually go away and write something?”. It was excruciating to watch.

  16. Nancy Sinatra is quite apt now –

You keep lyin’ when you oughta be truthin’

And you keep losing when you oughta not bet

You keep samin’ when you oughta be a’changin’

Now what’s right is right but you ain’t been right yet

  17. > I’d] just like to say that we hope Bruce is seen as an inspiration to those who say they’ve been wrongly accused … because he will be seeking advice for special leave and it’s not the end of it in respect of his pursuit for justice

I can’t believe someone said this with a straight face.

  18. He was initially found to have been recklessly indifferent as to consent.

By appealing, he’s made it worse. Quote from the judgment:

79 Having considered with some care all of the detailed findings made with due deliberation by the primary judge and with due regard to the seriousness of the finding, in our respectful view, his Honour should have found actual knowledge on the part of Mr Lehrmann that Ms Higgins did not consent to sexual intercourse. …

The court held it was open to find he did have knowledge of no consent.

Unfortunately, in all likelihood, Trumpette Gina will pay his costs and then the amoral ghouls at Sky or the IPA will offer him a high-paying a job.
