The secret service can monitor all people in Switzerland without cause or suspicion using radio and cable surveillance. The Federal Administrative Court has now ruled in a landmark decision that the cable surveillance regime is not in conformity with the Federal Constitution and the European Convention on Human Rights. This is an important victory for freedom and privacy on the internet.

And how do we make sure they don’t do it anyway?
It would not be the first time and they are never held accountable anyway.
It’s “only” a decision by the Federal Administrative Court. The secret service can (and likely will) take this to the Federal Supreme Court.
most of the time something happens they say the person was known but they didn’t act one it.. i feel like it rarely ever happens that they prevent anything by having access to everyones messages and calls
