A serious incident has been recorded in Italy, where a 49-year-old woman of Albanian-Macedonian origin was allegedly beaten to death by her husband.

According to Italian media, Sadjide Muslija, originally from North Macedonia, was found dead in her apartment in Pianello Vallesina, a small village in Monte Roberto in the province of Ancona. Her body showed numerous signs of violence, while authorities are searching for her husband, Nazif Muslija, 50.

The victim was found in bed with visible signs of beatings and head injuries. The police were notified by her employer after the woman failed to show up for work.

The couple was in the process of divorcing, but media reports said the man had returned to live with her, despite the separation. He had a previous record of domestic violence, as well as several complaints made by the 49-year-old. In April of this year, he was arrested for physical violence against her.

In one case, he broke down the bedroom door with an axe after the victim had taken refuge with a neighbor and suspected him of infidelity. The woman reported that she had been subjected to constant violence by her husband for two years. Last July, he reached a plea agreement, after which the couple was reunited.
