The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, met this Wednesday with the United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves. The Presidency provided details from the meeting, emphasizing that they discussed the latest developments in Kosovo.
It was also reported that Osmani and Hargreaves talked about the process of the upcoming early elections on December 28. President Osmani reiterated the importance of holding these elections according to the highest democratic standards.
“Additionally, the meeting discussed concrete steps toward finalizing the President’s initiative to conclude strategic agreements with the United Kingdom in areas of mutual interest — specifically in defense, security, as well as economy and trade — agreements that had been aligned during the British Foreign Secretary’s visit to Kosovo in April of this year,” the statement continues.
Osmani also expressed her gratitude for the United Kingdom’s continued support for Kosovo and its citizens.
