NORWAY, Mich. (WLUC) – Snowmakers are running 24/7 at Norway Mountain Ski Resort.
The mountain is preparing to open its slopes next weekend. The resort was closed for seven years before re-opening in 2024.
This year, it’s offering tubing alongside skiing and snowboarding.
Norway Mountain CEO and co-owner Justin Hoppe says the resort has grown in popularity over the summer.
“Through the summer we’ve been doing more maintenance on everything,” Hoppe said. “You know, neglect for seven years takes a toll on stuff. And we’ve seen more season passes this year, a lot of people coming up and eating in the restaurant.”
Slopes open Dec. 12 weather permitting.
