    This is kinda insane, no? There are such large disparaties between age groups. Anyone have a sociological model for this?

  2. I wonder how many female-dominant counties in the 18-24 map are because of universities. The two red ones in Florida are where FSU and UF are

  3. I’m very confused by what is going on in the Black Belt, Nevada, and the Florida panhandle, what’s the story?

  4. Zero way I believe SF county has more women than men for any age group (and _especially_ young women). It’s one of the starkest gender gaps in the country.

    I’m curious about Alaska. Even at the youngest age group, it seems like Fairbanks is majority women?

    Edit: meanwhile, that doesn’t seem true for Anchorage or Juneau.
