I saw this some years ago and, now that I have my own babies, I figured I'd give it a go. The first two months are missing due to us just trying to survive.
For fun I also animated one of the graphs: graph animated
That’s such clever visualisation! Love it; absolutely love it

Are they twins? Those sleep schedules are incredibly similar. Very neat graph.

this is so cool! my partner tried to track bowel movements…we had kidney concerns….but it was exhausting.
Good on you!!

Love it. Really it should be a spiral though

How did you get 12 hour night sleeps in the first month? Did you omit the months where they needed to be woken up for feeding every 3 hours?

I’m fascinated. Thank you!! Very interesting

Is there a reason baby an and b have a different color series (starting around month 6?)?

Honestly, good for you for mapping this. I love it. I wouldn’t do it. But I love it. As the father of an 20 month old, the thought of actually seeing his sleep in this visualization in his first year terrifies me.

You can see when they switched from 3 naps per day to 2 naps per day, pretty fascinating. Did this occur naturally or was it induced by the parents? If the former, is this a known phenomenon?

What happened that one day at the end of July with baby b? Some illness?

I don’t understand this graph and I think it’s because I can’t read any of the words. It’s too small, but zooming in is too pixelated.

I don’t know if it’s the shitty Reddit app or what but I can’t read any of it. It’s super low res.

How does one commit to register this data? My 3-year old is quitting midday naps and the thought of just registrerering the duration of his night sleeping alone makes me want to take a nap.
Impressive stuff. Beautiful data. I recognize the changes from my kids.

We just started tracking our baby’s sleep too, and we completely missed the first month just way too crazy.

I’m sorry am I reading this wrong? You had twins and they slept uninterrupted from roughly 8 PM to 6 AM virtually every night since their first month? Do you realize you have just won the lottery jackpot?? I have a 16 week old and a 2 year old and would pay $1 million for this schedule.
