A new PAN Europe study reveals high levels of the “forever chemical” trifluoroacetic acid (TFA), recently found to cause harm to reproduction and development, in everyday cereal products across Europe.
High contamination level was detected in the sample from Switzerland: 200 µg/kg in Swiss Rauchbrot.
The Swiss government recently cancelled funding for a major research project, in which one of the planned topics was to measure the population’s exposure to toxic substances such as PFAS.

Humans will be the first species to become extinct of entirely their own wilful doing.
“**Wheat products are significantly more contaminated than other cereal-based products**”.
I guess this is one more reason to choose gluten-free cereals, in order to avoid wheat at least in those meals.

TFA is stored in the balls.
