in “Confrontation Podcast” On Telegrafi.com, economist and professor Muhamet Mustafa has given a message about the political and economic situation in Kosovo, calling for the new government to be formed without delay and for the focus on economic development to be urgently restored.
According to him, the dysfunction of institutions and the delay in political processes are directly affecting the country’s performance.
“Attention must return to the economy, development, education and innovation – we are in a political blockade,” Mustafa declared.
He said that any delay in forming the new government harms Kosovo in two main directions, internal stability and international financing.

He warned that prolonged institutional procedures could cost the country hundreds of millions of euros in European Union funds, which require a functional government, clear budget plans, and sustainable decision-making.
“Delays in forming the government risk the loss of hundreds of millions of euros in European funds,” he added.
Mustafa urged that the year 2026 not be wasted on political crises, but rather be used for a radical change in the country’s economic model.
He emphasized that Kosovo has potential, but that potential cannot be utilized in a continuing climate of political uncertainty.
“Kosovo must enter 2026 with a new approach and a focus on production, innovation and investment in the human factor. Institutions must be operationalized immediately – the time for the economy cannot be postponed any longer,” he concluded. /Telegrafi/.
