  1. Summary:

    ● The autonomous vehicle (AV) sector is experiencing unprecedented growth, with the “accelerator on the floor” due to commercial deployments and testing in new city markets.

    ● Key industry players like Waymo, Uber, and Avride are intensifying their efforts in launching robotaxi and other autonomous mobility services.

    ● Rapid technological advancements are fueling this growth, exemplified by companies like Nvidia introducing new models for AV vision and reasoning.

    ● Regulatory shifts, such as new permissions for testing and deployment of autonomous trucks, are clearing the path for mass adoption.

    ● The industry’s focus is on integrating technology, managing collaboration with governments, adapting to new regulations, and addressing public perception of autonomous mobility.

  2. I am not surprised, government is trying to strip regulations, so this is their moment. The question will be what is this going to look like? Will we have literal “Death Cabs for Cutie” running about, gridlock created by tons of empty vehicles running about seeking a customer, etc.
