TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Topeka restaurants are spreading joy with holiday pop-ups.
785 Beer Company and The Pennant are two that deck the halls each year to create memories for Northeast Kansas families.
“For us, this will turn into a tradition,” customer John Burton said. “We’ll come every year probably and support the work that they put into it.”
The Pennant’s “Mistletoe” and 785 Beer Company’s “Frosted” create a special atmosphere, giving customers a different experience than they’re used to.
“We do it so that we can see everyone enjoying themselves and having that great time,” The Pennant service manager Tyler Krentz said. “I love seeing the family traditions that people make out of it and getting to come back every single year.”
“You see the growth,” 785 Beer Company server Danielle Flesher said. “Not only at each table but you see it trickle and ripple throughout the rest of the restaurant. So it’s not only with the patrons and the customers, it trickles into the employees as well.”
While it makes for a good time for customers, it’s also an important time of year for the businesses.
“Just continuing to have that foot-traffic downtown, really helps not just our business but the other local businesses that are down here as well,” Krentz said.
“It’s very important to support,” Burton said. “They do a lot of good work for the town and it brings in a lot of money and revenue for the city.”
785 Beer Company is located at 301 SE 45th St.
The Pennant is located at 915 S Kansas Ave.
Both pop-ups will be open through December.
