Ironically, if the Russian plot had not been foiled and the plane’s passengers killed, maybe the West would’ve supported Ukraine more. Those pilots’ deaths would’ve resulted in saving tens or hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian lives. It may have even saved many Russian lives too because the war would’ve ended sooner. That doesn’t mean the plot should’ve been allowed to succeed, but it does make you do wonder what the alternative universe would look like.
