I wouldn’t. Being the kind of person you want to attract is a MUCH better strategy.

I am not aware about any special Ukrainian communities in Poland tbh. We have some messenger groups, but they are more work(it or managers, or doctors) or hobby oriented. Not nationality oriented. Also Ukrainians are more of a Eastern/Post Soviet people, even if you have a “group” – it doesn’t mean they want to communicate or know you, those groups are for short questions and answers(it is bad, I dont like it tbh).
Now with language. Much easier, agree. Though I have 2 1h lessons per week for a year already, and still struggling. I sound like an alien. My problem is that I am working remotely in international company and communicate only in English. No every day practice – low progress, no magic. With kid, work and lessons I am left with 1-2 free hours daily. If they are not busy with kid activities – I am exhausted and just want to sleep(even if they are, no difference).

Always found it easier than in places like Portugal (no, it’s not like in Spain).
Yeah, Ukrainians lol, Russians the same. They all go to Russian/Ukrainian and just do their lives this way. Always hate it.

The whole ‘Eastern salaries, Western prices’ thing again. The prices of some things in shops are indeed the same as in ‘the West’, and sometimes more expensive. But a lot is considerably less, especially things like rent, transport, energy. (I’m not saying those things are cheap, especially in these inflationary times, but however expensive you might feel they are, it’s even _worse_ – believe it or not – in Western European countries.)

>Outsourcing jobs: Someone in the same company doing the same job in Switzerland or the USA works fewer hours and earns 6-7 times more than you.
Most stupid claim here.
Working for Swedish fintech from Poland, i make 100k $ ish a year, enjoy all the social benefits from living in Poland, including paternal leave, 3 months notice period if im gonna get sacked, my property tax is like 200$ a year for 2 story home + basement + attic.
Colleague, same company, same position, similar YOE, earns 250k ish a year, enjoys no social benefits in US, is employed at will, has copay on his insurance (despite it being good), his paternal leave as a male is unpaid unlike mine, hes got half of holidays i got, the only things 6-7x more he enjoys are his costs of living in SF bay area compared to mine. We work same hours, both remote. His property tax is 10k $ a year for smaller home than mine. And while yes, he could move to cheaper state away from our office, in US pay is often adjusted to the state u live in when remote. He could be living way cheaper in bumfuck nowhere midwest, but he would also take insane pay cut.

I really get the negativity, I do. But I feel like people generally focus on negatives too much. Below is a list of traits of this country I dare you to find me a second example of, on the entire planet. If it wasn’t for our <spits> political class, it would be paradise.
No killer weather like tornadoes, tsunamis, earthquakes.
Next to no deadly fauna or flora. You don’t have to check your boots for an occasional venomous spider, or porch for snakes.
Safe. Clean.
Hospitable culture, generally good people.
One of the best cuisines in the world.
Sea, forests, lakes and mountains. Has it all.
Truly moderate weather, bearable almost all year long, pleasant for a big part of it.
Despite <spits> the political class, a growing economy. Which is a small miracle by itself.
State-paid uni for your kids if they have good grades.

Yesterday I was told their base salary was 4666 gross. In Warsaw. Tf is that? Sure it’s a commission based role, but base is supposed to leave you with enough to at least survive.
