Georgians! ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ช

Hi everyone!
I made a song inspired by Georgian polyphonic folk music and Konstantine Gamsakhurdia’s historical novel “The Son of Queen Tamar”.
The lyrics are in English and tell a story from the Golden Age of Georgia and Queen Tamarโ€™s era.

Just wanted to share it with you .

Lyric:

Karvelebo! draw your swords on high, march with courage, do not bend to foe.
Guard this soil! this holy earth was paid in blood, hold its memory, never let it go.

Ancient names still line the stars above us, burning through ages, Thamarโ€™s fire guides the way
Toward honourโ€™s path for glory or a martyrโ€™s grave, called by duty, we rise, come what may.

Sons of Thamar! meet them shield to shield with no fear, hold the line now, stand fast when horns blow.
Guard this land! let no foot chain your motherโ€™s ground, cry God above, with fury strike the foe.

Speak our vow now! let your voices rise through mountains, have lion hearts, God stands with the brave.
Blest be heroes! who bled in battle so our land lives, for our homeland their last sacred breath gave.

Sons of Thamar! draw your swords on high, march with courage, do not bend to foe.
Guard this soil! this holy earth was paid in blood, hold its memory, never let it go.
Never let it go

And Ra Ri LA and Ra Ra
