The German Embassy in Kosovo has made an appeal to all candidates who will participate in the Extraordinary Parliamentary Elections, which will be held on December 28.
According to the embassy’s announcement, due to the large Kosovo community in Germany, no election campaign organizations by foreign officials are allowed on German territory during the three-month period before the elections.
“Given that we have a large Kosovo diaspora in Germany, we would like to remind all candidates that, as a rule, election campaign organizations by foreign officials in Germany are not allowed in the period less than 3 months before the elections. Thank you for your understanding,” the announcement reads, according to the Telegraph.
The campaign for the snap elections begins on December 17th and will end on December 27th.
This warning aims to ensure respect for legal procedures and the principles of electoral neutrality for the Kosovar diaspora. /Telegraph/
