Nebraska women’s basketball (10-0) faced fellow in-state opponent Omaha Tuesday night. Following a close first quarter, the Huskers dominated the night, taking an 87-35 win to remain undefeated.
The Mavericks took an early lead and held a 10-3 advantage over Nebraska at one point in the opening quarter. But the Huskers closed out the quarter with a 17-5 run and carried that momentum through the rest of the game.

Nebraska’s defense shut down Omaha, forcing 31 turnovers, snatching 17 steals and allowing no double-digit points across each of the final three quarters. The Huskers’ offense also delivered another strong outing, shooting 35-of-76 from the floor, 13-of-40 from beyond the arc, and 4-of-8 from the free-throw line. The Mavericks finished 15-of-45, 1-of-18 and 4-of-11, respectively.
Callin Hake scored a team-high and career-high 17 points in the win, going 6-of-10 from the floor and 5-of-9 from three-point range. Hake also finished with a team-high six assists, alongside Kennadi Williams.
Jessica Petrie also landed six shots from the floor and earned 14 points on the night while hauling in seven rebounds. Amiah Hargrove rounded out the Huskers’ double-digit scorers, tallying 11 points and securing a team-high 11 rebounds.
Nebraska continues its run at home on Sunday morning when Illinois State comes in. Tipoff is set for 11 a.m. CT on B1G+.
