Spain is huge considering theyre one of the 5. If one if the others boycot as well (unlikely at this point) it wouls be DEVASTATING.

The fact that the map has to be zoomed out from Europe to include the genocidal state suggests that they shouldn’t be in it to begin with.

  3. They’d rather lose five European countries (one of the big five among them) than lose a genocidal, non-European country. Then again, I believe Israel is the biggest sponsor of the competition.

As a clueless American i’m not sure why they even let non-european nations compete in EUROvision at all…? Israel makes about as much sense as Australia. At least the caucasus region is a transitional point geographically.

edit: Okay, comes down to braodcast rights and “euro” branding more so than geographical region; got it. Thanks all who replied….

Why didn’t they refuse to play in world cup quals rather that this mickey mouse thing?

Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, and Libya are also boycotting. But they’re not included in this for some reason.

Israel should be boycotted becuase of the Gaza massacre, the boycott happened to Russia on almost every sport because of the Ukraine war. Russia treats Ukranians better than Israel treats Gaza BY FAR, okay?

  8. I’m so ashamed of the fact that Sweden hasn’t joined the boycott yet.

We no doubt will, but only after most others have joined it already, to make it seem as if we haven’t sold out completely… which we have.

  9. In Portugal so far we don’t have contestants since all of them are giving up. If it keeps like this we won’t have anyone to send to represent us for Eurovision. Sounds like a win to me
